The seed orders are complete! This year's selections were chosen with kitchen experiments already in mind. Usually, I'm drawn to certain seeds for their novelty or promised early harvest dates. 2012 is all about multi-purposing, vertical gardening and heavy yields. Our characteristic flair for agricultural drama will be present in the form of some spunky heirlooms and improved utilitarian crops, as well as some additions to last year's trellising experiments. Not only will the fences and tripods be going back up; they're going to be joined by some new trellises and cages, and even a potato barrel or two.
